Free tools and email confirmation

How the free OET tools work: your first use is instant, you confirm your email to keep going, and each AI tool is limited to once a day.

In short

Your first use of a free tool is instant. After that, you confirm your email to keep using them.
Each AI tool can be used once a day.
If the confirmation email is missing, the tool has a button to send it again.

Steps

1
Open the free OET tools and choose a tool.
2
Enter your email address when asked, and use the tool. Your first use is instant.
3
For your next use, open the email we sent and tap the confirmation link. If you cannot find it, press "Send me the confirmation link" in the tool.
4
Use each AI tool once a day. If it says you have used your check for today, come back tomorrow.

First use, then confirmation

The first time you use any free tool with an email address, it works at once. After that, the tools ask you to confirm your email: open the confirmation link in our email and the free tools open again. You only confirm once for an address. A button in the tool, "Send me the confirmation link", sends the email again. We send it at most once every 5 minutes for one address, so check spam first.

Once a day

Each AI tool, such as the Writing Checker, Grammar Checker, Mistakes Finder, Sentence Rewriter, Vocabulary Improver, Letter Generator, Case Note Generator and Writer's Helper, can be used once a day. The limit applies to your email address and to your internet connection, and a new day starts at midnight UTC. The tools hub lists the Score Estimator and the Writing Checklist as unlimited. Temporary email addresses are not accepted.

What confirming also gives you

A confirmed email also lets you ask Adam 5 free questions a day. See Ask Adam. For more than the free tools offer, see our OET correction packages.
