The library at a glance
Levels reflect practice complexity — how many distractors and how much clinical density a case carries — not OET tiers. OET is a single B2-level exam; the levels just help you build from clean structure on simple cases to ruthless selection on dense ones.

How to practise with case notes
More practice without feedback rarely lifts a candidate from Grade C to Grade B. Practising the right way matters more than practising more.
Read twice
Once for clinical understanding. Once to identify recipient, letter type, and purpose. Spend 5 minutes.
Highlight what's relevant
Mark only what the recipient needs to act on. Cross out irrelevant social details, unrelated history, and anything that doesn't affect the recipient's decision.
Sketch a four-paragraph structure
Opening (purpose), background (relevant history), current situation, request and closing. Decide which case-note items go in which paragraph before writing.
Write in 30 minutes
Aim for 185 to 195 words. Don't pause to perfect a sentence. Editing is faster than drafting.
Submit for correction
Self-review only catches surface errors. The patterns blocking Grade B are usually invisible to the writer. Three to five corrected letters typically reveal them.
Turn this into real practice
Write a letter from one of the cases above, paste it into the free checker for an instant read, then submit it for a human grade against all six criteria — line-by-line feedback from Dr Mariam's team, from $12 (24 to 72 hour turnaround).
