Steps

  1. 1

Open My courses and go to the WhatsApp card.

  2. 2

Type your WhatsApp number with the country code.

  3. 3

Tick the box that starts "I agree to receive lesson, correction and study-plan messages", then press "Turn on WhatsApp messages".

  4. 4

To stop, reply STOP in the chat, or press "Turn WhatsApp messages off" on the same card.

What we send

A short note with a link when each lesson is ready and when a correction is back, plus reminders. Everything else stays on the site and by email. If you choose WhatsApp for your daily plan, the plan arrives there too: press "Get your daily plan here" on the card, or choose WhatsApp under "Where should we send your plan?" in Today and your study plan.

Your agreement and STOP

We send WhatsApp messages only to a number whose owner ticked the agreement box. We store the words you agreed to and the time. Reply STOP at any time and the messages end. STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work. Reply START to turn them back on. If you agreed before the study plan existed, the page asks you to agree again before plan messages come to WhatsApp.

What you can reply

  • DONE: ticks your next task.
  • TODAY: lists today's tasks, with links.
  • PROGRESS: a short summary of your marks.
  • TOMORROW: moves today's tasks to tomorrow.
  • HELP: sends a message to Dr Mariam's team. Add a note after a colon, for example "help: my question". See contact Dr Mariam's team.

Any other text goes to Adam, our AI study assistant. See Ask Adam.

What does not work on WhatsApp

We read text messages only. Photos, voice notes and files are not read. To send a letter use your letters page. If one number is linked to more than one account, we ask you to email [email protected].
